Moonlight Mahjong Überblick
Moonlight Mahjong ist das beliebte 3D Mahjong Solitaire Spiel, das für das iPhone und iPad erstellt wurde... jetzt für OS X! Spielen Sie im Arcade-Stil mit zunehmend schwierigen Levels oder entspannen Sie sich mit einem der nicht wettbewerbsorientierten Spielmodi. Das Gameplay ist einfach, aber süchtig machend.
Ursprünglich für Touchscreen-iOS-Geräte erstellt, nutzt Moonlight Mahjong auf dem Mac die Vorteile eines Multitouch-Trackpads voll aus, kann aber auch mit einer Maus gespielt werden. Intuitive Steuerung ermöglicht es Ihnen, in der virtuellen Realität zu kippen und zu drehen, sodass Sie die Kacheln auf dem Brett leichter sehen können.
Moonlight Mahjong auf dem Mac bietet vier Spieltypen:
Scramble-Modus (der Standard): Machen Sie Matches schneller als der automatisierte Gegner "Tilebot" durch zunehmend schwierige Levels. Das Brett wird automatisch neu gemischt, wenn Sie keine Matches mehr haben, was diesen Spielmodus einfach (zum Start!) und unterhaltsam macht. Sobald Sie hoch genug im Spiel punktiert haben, können Sie auch auf Level 11 mit "Lion Scramble" oder Level 21 mit "Dragon Scramble" Modi starten.
Challenge-Modus: Treten Sie gegen Tilebot im vollen Puzzle-Modus an, ohne automatisches Mischen, nur Rückgängig. Die Herausforderung erfordert mehr Strategie als Scramble.
Puzzle-Modus: Lösen Sie Puzzle-Boards ohne Zeitlimit. Wählen Sie beliebige Layouts, die Sie mögen; keine hohen Punktzahlen.
Entspannungsmodus: Räumen Sie Boards ohne Zeitlimit und automatisches Mischen, wenn keine Matches mehr vorhanden sind. Perfekt für Zeiten, in denen Sie einfach nicht in der Stimmung sind, Strategien zu entwickeln oder zu hetzen.

I've been a fanatic of 3D interfaces for over a decade. Why they aren't already standard in OS X and in a multitude of applications is beyond my comprehension. We live in a 3D world. Let's work in 3D on our computing devices already! Sticking to 2D, or even worse 1D thinking is ridiculous.
Therefore, despite the well described minor problems with this game, I consider it to be BRILLIANT! I enjoy playing it immensely. The best feature is having to manipulate the wonderful models to discover available tiles you'd never see in a mere 2D game. This game proves that all the gestures required to manipulate a 3D GUI exist right now and they're FUN! I highly recommend this game to every living Mac user if only to get everyone used to 3D interfaces and what we can do right now with them by way of touch and gestures.
Please developers! More applications and games like this ASAP! Thank you Michael Howard for this great idea and great implementation AND making it free. It's worth paying for! (^_^)

There is a fundamental error within this game.. which can be seen from the snapshot provided on macUpdate: You can identify tiles by their corresponding marble texture. I can identify ALL tiles by looking at their sides.
A simple solution would be to use multiple materials. A base material, your marble texture, which can be applied with random settings. Then, your tile texture and normal map.

Nice, but overall not to my taste. As noted by others, I prefer all core functions by on the screen as buttons, links, context menu options, etc. I'm not a fan of shortcuts as a first line control model.
As to the 3D, it has been pushed too far in this application. Such frills quickly reach overkill and produce interference in functionality and ease of use where board, tile, dice, and card games for computer are concerned.

For free (at least for now), this is pretty sweet. I would request that the game have an auto-pause feature, rather than having to either press the key combo or select "pause" from the menu. (Or, at least, add a "pause" button to the main screen.) It was a bit annoying to leave the game, come back, and discover it was already over. (That was before I discovered the pause requirement.) But overall, this has nice graphics and game play options.
